Welcome to the Duel Masters Play's Start Guide. This is a simple guide to help new players to navigate their way around playing the game.

Step 1: Reroll[]
A reroll or Rerolling is whereby players create new accounts, open the free booster packs given at the start of the game for their desired Super Rare in order to have a good collection foundation to start out. Of course this would take some time and if you wish to just start the game without doing this step it is completely understandable.

Step 2: Linking your Account[]
A very important step for all players to perform when playing Duel Masters Play's. Linking your account to a social media will help ensure that you will never lose your progress and your account. There have been many incidence across the years whereby players have lost their account by not doing the step correctly. As a reminder, registering the account with Google Play does not Link the account to anything.
Step 3: Understanding how the Currency Work[]
Learning about a game's currency will help the player understand what each currency is, how it can be used & obtained and ultimately bettering their ability to manage it. It also helps give the player a direction to work towards to obtain said currency and progress in the game.

Step 4: How to Play Duel Masters[]
If you had never played Duel Masters before and had skipped the tutorial at the start of the game, there is a guide on how to play on the wiki all in English. Reading up on the different card types or latest keywords will also help players have a better understanding of certain mechanics within the game of Duel Masters.

Step 5: Rental Decks[]
Rental Decks are premade decks provided by the game for players to experience the latest deck types from the current set. This is also a very helpful tool for new players who have no idea about deck building or do not have a proper collection in order to get a test of what kind of decks they prefer.

Step 6: Playing the Game[]
Duel Masters Play's is a Digital Card Game (DCG) and like all DCG, players use their cards and do battle or in our case, Duel! There are many gameplay modes to play in ranging from PVE to PVP.

It is definitely recommended to start clearing Tower of Trials as it will give you a ton of rewards to get started. If you happen to start while there is a special event such as Legend Battle or SP Rule Match be sure to participate in them as well. As City Battles normally last for the entire set, its best to focus on the other events first unless you're having difficulty then you can grind out some resources here.
Step 7: Getting More Cards[]
Like all games, using the free stuff may not get you far and its time for an upgrade. Go to the Booster Pack Shop and start purchasing some booster packs. As a starter, you might be a little bombarded by the different sets available but fear not normally the best sets to pull from would be from the current ones. There are also theme decks that are mostly only purchasable by Gems however these aren't the best things to get since most of these decks aren't playable on their own (Except those from the DMPS-Series) and only really adds to a player's collection in terms of VR & SRs.

Step 7.5: Crafting Cards[]
The Crafting System is a way for players to obtain new cards from excess or unwanted cards. Each Duel Masters card has a Crafting Cost & Disassembling Reward this is the basics of the system. After obtaining enough DMPoints, players are able to craft the cards they need instead of having to keep pulling booster packs in order to obtain the cards they want.
Step 8: Rank Match & Formats[]
Confident in your deck and skills to take on the Meta? Test your skills in a Rank Match, duel against real players and become a Duel Masters Legend.
In Duel Masters Play's, the main gameplay mode is Rank Match where players duel each other, receive stars for winning and climb in Ranks and receive Rank Rewards at the end of the Cup (Month).
There are 2 different formats New Division & All Division the formal being exclusive to the latest 6 Sets and their EX Sets & a couple of other exceptions while the latter being a free for all whereby all cards are allowed. As a starter, it is recommended to try out in New Division first since there is a larger pool of cards in All Division. However be sure to participate in both formats as players will receive rewards for each of the formats they had played in at the end of the cup; That means double the rewards!
Step 9: Getting More Currency[]
Be it Gold, DMPoints or Booster Tickets, as a new player, you should try to get these free as much as possible in order to progress in the game without having to pay any real money for Gems. Duel Masters Play's is generally a very Free to Play game and the rewards given out can get a starter very quickly on their feet. The best way is to always participate in the events and reaching Duel Masters Rank in both New Division & All Division at the end of each cup. Outside of those, be sure to login in daily for the daily login bonus, Missions and Weekly Rewards. Finally players are also rewarded for Leveling up so the more you play, the more rewards you'll get.
