Quick Pick Guide[]
This section will briefly cover on tips when it comes to selecting certain civilizations and card types when starting a run of the Quick Pick game mode. These guides are solely tips that help guide one's decision when choosing between civilizations/cards and should in no way be used as a hard rule when it comes to selection. This guide is also subjected to changes based on the available card selection.
- Players can also practice deck building in Quick Pick Solo Play.
1) Civilization[]
The most important aspect of Quick Pick is the selection of your civilization as this will determine the cards that you will be presented during your choices.
- Stronger Cards: There are more powerful, finisher and Shield Trigger cards available in certain civilizations than others. These types of cards don't require much synergy with other cards or set up and can have very powerful effects in terms of card removal or card generation. Such cards include Gods, Bilgias, Hardened Demon of Hellfire, Rose Castle, Gabriella, Holy Princess, Perfect Galaxy, Immortality Elemental, Milzam, Miracles Elemental & and certain Evolution Creatures.
- Allied Civilization: There are more cards that benefit or share similar races with their allied civilizations than enemy civilization cards therefore making your deck much more synergistic. Therefore, when choosing a combination of 3, its generally better to pick those with 2 allied civilizations over those that have only 1.
- Multicolored cards: these cards are generally much stronger due to power and having multiple races therefore its good to choose combinations of civilization that has a higher amount of good multicolored cards. Notable Mutli cards are , Jack Valdy, the Everlasting, Amarin, Electro Star Tree Q, Beautician, Viral Lord of Fear, Souji, Electro-Warrior & the 5 Battlemages:Bega, Vizier of Shadow
2) Evolution Creature[]
While a majority of evolution creatures are very powerful, you would require sufficient evolution source in order to play them otherwise they would end up being useless. Selecting too many evolution creatures in a deck may also cause the deck to have more "bad" draws if you are unable to sustain an evolution source in the Battle Zone.
- Evolution: Evolution creatures are a great way to get a focus for a deck. It is always advisable to pick evolution creatures that have prominent evolution sources in the civilization that you had picked earlier.
- Mana Evolution & Mana Galaxy Vortex Evolution: Compared to your standard evolution creatures, mana evolution creatures are extremely good as it allows you to surprise your opponent with really powerful effect. Notable cards are, Supernova DEATH Dragerion, Huckle Kirin Sawyer, Jungle Governor & Max, Crimson Blade Lord.
However once you have picked a Mana evolution creature do make sure to pick sufficient creature baits for them.
- Vortex Evolution & Galaxy Vortex Evolution: These cards are extremely dangerous to play as they require 2 or 3 evolution sources which is very hard to achieve during a match and significantly reduces card advantage. It is highly inadvisable to choose any of them unless the majority of your deck already consist of the specific evolution sources and lack a finisher.
3) Race[]
As the civilizations are associated with a particular race, you can use this to create a deck that has incredible value and synergy. This can allow you to have an easier time during the "Very Rare & Super Rare" options as most Very Rare cards tend to have race based synergies.
4) Shield Trigger[]
Due to the Card Selection Distribution, each deck will contain at least 6 Shield Triggers. Shield triggers are incredibly valuable in this game mode as it allows players to not lose completely against aggro style decks. Some notable Shield Trigger are Flower Basket of Charm and Tricks, Terror Pit, Dacity Dragoon, Explosive Beast, Akagigarmus, Armed Dragon Demon & Jara, Dirtiness Demon.
- Shield Trigger Creatures: have a secondary utility as it allows the player to access another race allowing them to run other valuable evolution creatures such as Ballom Emperor, Lord of Demons or Bolgalshack, Super Divine Dragoon to surprise the opponent. Notable Shield Trigger races are Demon Command and Tyranno Drake as they also have value cards outside of the Shield Trigger options.
5) Decking out[]
Due to the game mode having only 30 cards, decking out can occur more often. Therefore, it is important to limit the selection of cards that Draw, Shieldify and/or sends cards from the deck to the Mana Zone or Graveyard. Cards that has an incredible high risk of decking the player out are Yamino Caesar, Dark Beast, Like a Rolling Storm, Submarine Fortress Lair, Fortune Slot & Splash Axe, the Aqua Savage.
6) Non Synergistic/Useless Cards[]
These cards are either incredibly hard to play due to their high requirements or simply don't work. These cards are best avoided as they provide low or non-existent payoff. Such cards are Fernando the 7th, Emperor of Mystic Light and Galaxy Blade - THE FINAL.
