This page details the various card and gameplay changes in the Duel Masters Play's digital card game compared to the Duel Masters trading card game.

Abilities[]
The following effects are a generic change made to most cards with the following effects;
Ability: | Change: |

Card Draw | Arbitrary effect → Forced effect. (Example: Aqua Hulcus) |
Untap | Arbitrary effect → Forced effect. (Example: Laveil, Seeker of Catastrophe) |
Firepower | Arbitrary effect → Forced effect. (Example: Meteosaur) |
Single Removal | Arbitrary effect → Forced effect. (Example: Chaos Worm) |
Bounce | Can only be used on opponents creature. (Example: Aqua Surfer) |
- Water Civilization cards that return cards from the battle zone to an owners hand remains optional (to prevent allowing your opponent to re-use the creatures Come into Play abilities).
- Search and recovery abilities aren't listed on the Card Changes pages as each card with that sort of ability is affected.
- Abilities that include "your creatures" of specific conditions also if they are eligible themselves, i.e.: Ulcelios, Holy Core Elemental, Marching Motherboard or Vreemah, Freaky Mojo Totem.
Races[]
The race of Giant Insect was renamed as 'Gigant Insect' to prevent confusion with support cards for Giants.
- This was later reverted in DMPP-16 FIRST OF VICTORY.
